Tuesday 4/29/2013  PM
We leave the wonderful "Chobe Safari Lodge" and drive to Zimbabwe to "The Victoria Falls Hotel".  This hotel is beautiful and "old English".  The falls were discovered by Stanley Livingston (Dr. Livingston I presume) and named for queen Victoria.  Queen Elizabeth has stayed here.  The hotel is old but stately and the grounds are beautiful.  Again, photos will not do it justice.  We can hear the falls and see the mist.  At 3pm we go for the long awaited walk around the Victoria Falls.  The falls are 1 1/2 miles long.  Here we are at one of the Seven Natural Wonders of the world and you can see why they made the list.  The speed of the rapids and falls is amazing.  We take pictures at the first of about 15 stops and we are glad because the mist becomes so thick that our view is soon lost.  We knew it would be wet.  The mist at most times feels like a heavy rain.  The grandeur is unbelievable.  God did a good job here.  We go back to the hotel and clean up for a reception with our tour. Jessens, Bargens, Nila, tour guide Brian, and Pam, have a bite to eat and enjoy the South African wines and beers.  Tomorrow I am taking a helicopter flight over the falls.
