Today we leave the Spier Hotel. Another 4/5 star hotel with great food and accommodations. I am up early to visit the hotel grounds. They have a trails, amphitheater, and a wonderful protea flower garden. I hope my pictures are wonderful. I had no idea how many different kinds there were. Yesterday we visited their local winery and tasting. I also forgot to tell you that we stopped at the town of Franschoek which is an old french settlement. Another old city where we stopped for shopping and cappuccino. After that we visited an ostrich farm. We have one in Phoenix but this farm has beautiful leather products (no I did not Buy). This morning we are off to Table Top Mountain which is a famous landmark in Cape Town. We ride the gondola up. At the top are spectacular views. Today it is cloudy but we still have good views of the city but even more exciting, our view is in the clouds and feels like we are in heave. I hope those pictures turn out, we may even see God. From there we visit a Tanzanite gem store and they give us a tour hoping we will buy. They tour is informative, no I did not buy. We now arrive at our final hotel, The Cullinan Hotel, named after the famous diamond found in SA. Another 5 star with great food. Before diner we attend an informal meeting with Christian ?. He was the guard of Nelson Mandela for 17 years on Robben Island. He and Mandela became good friends. Again, very interesting.
